When cooking a salmon fillet, do not throw away the skin. It turns into a crunchy and nutritious snack for your dog, rich in omega-3s beneficial for skin, coat, and joints. A simple and sustainable zero-waste preparation that values an often discarded ingredient.

Ingredients

  • 1 salmon with skin

Procedure

  1. Place the salmon on a baking tray and bake at 175 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Remove from the oven and flip the salmon.
  3. Carefully detach the skin from the fillet and place it back on the baking tray.
  4. Bake the skin again for about 10 minutes, until it is nice and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Break into small pieces and serve.

Storage

It can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days or in the freezer for up to 60 days.
