Crispy Dried Chicken Chips for Cats

Thin oven-dried chicken breast chips: a single-ingredient, crunchy, 100% meat snack with no preservatives. The natural treat cats absolutely love.

Time ~180 min
Portions 30

The simplest and healthiest snack you can give your cat is also the most natural: pure chicken, slowly dried until crispy. No salt, no preservatives, no sugars — just meat. These thin chips are incredibly light, break easily into small pieces for training, and concentrate all the flavour of the meat, utterly irresistible to cats.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken breast (about 200 g)

Method

  1. Place the chicken breast in the freezer for 20–30 minutes: slightly firm, it slices much more easily.
  2. Slice the chicken into very thin strips, about 2–3 mm, cutting lengthways.
  3. Arrange the slices well spaced out on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, without overlapping them.
  4. Dry in the oven at 90–100 °C with the door slightly ajar (to let moisture escape) for 2–3 hours, turning them halfway through.
  5. They are ready when completely dry and crispy, with no soft spots in the centre.
  6. Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

Low-temperature cooking takes time but is essential: it dehydrates the meat without burning it. Make sure the chips are thoroughly dry, as any remaining moisture encourages mould. Break them into small pieces to use as a treat. Even though this is pure meat, it is still a snack: it should not exceed 10% of your cat's daily calorie intake.

Storage

Kept in an airtight glass jar, fully dried, they will last up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months. If they absorb moisture, pop them back in the oven for a few minutes.
