Time ~10 min
Portions 24

Do you want to prepare a quick treat without turning on the oven? These blueberry balls are ready in just a few minutes and please both dogs and humans. Blueberries rich in antioxidants, filling oats, and aromatic coconut combine in a small energy bite, ideal for training sessions or a daily snack.

Ingredients

  • 150 g of fresh or frozen blueberries (1 cup)
  • 120 g of rolled oats (1 and 1/2 cups)
  • 30 g of unsweetened shredded coconut (1/3 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter (15 g, without salt or xylitol)
  • 30 g of extra shredded coconut for coating

Procedure

  1. Combine blueberries, oats, coconut, and peanut butter in a blender and blend until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Take about a tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll it between your hands to form small balls.
  3. Roll each ball in the reserved coconut until completely coated.
  4. Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up, yielding about 18-24 balls.

Notes

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and fiber, while oats provide slow-release energy. Serve in moderation, 1-2 balls a day depending on your dog's size. Always check that the peanut butter is natural and free from xylitol.
