Air Fryer Chicken Liver Treats for Dogs

Dehydrated chicken liver bites perfect for training. Just one ingredient, high in protein and vitamins, and ready in no time with the air fryer.

Time ~55 min
Portions 50

Chicken liver is a super loved snack by dogs for its intense aroma and irresistible flavor. Cooking it in an air fryer yields dry and crunchy bites, perfect for training sessions or as a daily treat in small quantities.

Ingredients

  • 250 g of chicken liver
  • Extra virgin olive oil spray to taste

Procedure

  1. Drain the liver and transfer it to a cutting board lined with parchment paper.
  2. Place it in the freezer for 20 minutes to make cutting easier and reduce moisture.
  3. Cut the liver into small pieces suitable as treats, using scissors.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with a light coat of oil and arrange the liver pieces without letting them touch.
  5. Spray a little more oil on the surface.
  6. Cook at 120 degrees for 30 minutes, turning the pieces halfway through cooking.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

The liver is extremely rich in vitamin A: do not exceed 5-10% of the dog's daily diet and alternate with other snacks. If you do not have an air fryer, cook in the oven, doubling the time.

Storage

In an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days; in the freezer for longer.
