Do you want to prepare a quick treat without turning on the oven? These blueberry balls are ready in just a few minutes and please both dogs and humans. Blueberries rich in antioxidants, filling oats, and aromatic coconut combine in a small energy bite, ideal for training sessions or a daily snack.
Ingredients
- 150 g of fresh or frozen blueberries (1 cup)
- 120 g of rolled oats (1 and 1/2 cups)
- 30 g of unsweetened shredded coconut (1/3 cup)
- 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter (15 g, without salt or xylitol)
- 30 g of extra shredded coconut for coating
Procedure
- Combine blueberries, oats, coconut, and peanut butter in a blender and blend until a smooth dough forms.
- Take about a tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll it between your hands to form small balls.
- Roll each ball in the reserved coconut until completely coated.
- Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up, yielding about 18-24 balls.
Notes
Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and fiber, while oats provide slow-release energy. Serve in moderation, 1-2 balls a day depending on your dog's size. Always check that the peanut butter is natural and free from xylitol.
