Few snacks please dogs as much as beef jerky. All you need is a good lean sirloin and an air fryer to make dried, crispy, high-protein strips that are free from additives. They are excellent when broken into pieces for training sessions.
Ingredients
- 150 g of lean beef sirloin
- Extra virgin olive oil spray as needed.
Procedure
- Place the meat in the freezer for 30 minutes to make it easier to slice and reduce moisture.
- Slice the beef into thin, even strips.
- Spray the air fryer basket with a light coat of oil and mist the strips of meat as well.
- Cook at 105 degrees for 45 minutes, checking from time to time.
- Pat the strips with paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Any lean cut of beef is fine. Serve in moderation, especially to dogs with digestive issues.
Storage
In an airtight container for 3-5 days; in the freezer for up to 6 months.
