Do you always have some eggs that are about to expire in the fridge? This skillet frittata makes the most of them in a complete dish for your dog. It’s a high-protein meal, with fresh vegetables and whole grain bread for added texture. Quick, economical, and perfect for preparing in advance for several days.

Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs (about 400 g)
  • 1 and a half tablespoons of olive oil (about 21 g)
  • 6 slices of multigrain bread (about 332 g)
  • 1 bell pepper (about 120 g)
  • 4 cups of fresh spinach (about 120 g)
  • 120 ml of fresh parsley (about 30 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of eggshell powder (about 5 g)
  • 80 ml of essential nutrient mix for dogs (about 43 g)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat eggs, olive oil, and the essential nutrient mix.
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and put it in the blender, blending until you achieve a coarse crumb similar to breadcrumbs.
  3. Add the crumbled bread to the egg mixture, mixing well.
  4. Finely chop the bell pepper, spinach, parsley, and eggshell powder in the blender.
  5. Add the chopped vegetables to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour everything into a non-stick skillet, cover, and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Let it cool completely before serving.

Notes

This recipe is suitable for maintaining an adult dog; it yields about 1134 g of product. Weigh the ingredients in grams for better nutritional accuracy.

Storage

It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 90 days.
