Time ~1 min
Portions 1

Just sixty seconds are enough to transform your dog's bowl into a small concentrate of wellness. This creamy topping combines probiotic-rich cottage cheese and spirulina, a blue-green algae known for its powerful antioxidant properties. It’s an ultra-quick solution to give a boost to everyday meals or spread on your dog's mat.

Ingredients

  • 225 g of cottage cheese with live lactic ferments (1 cup)
  • 1 pinch (about 0.5 g) of spirulina powder

Procedure

  1. In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese and spirulina, mixing well until you achieve a uniform green color.
  2. Transfer to your dog's favorite mat or use as a topping for meals.

Notes

Cottage cheese is rich in probiotics beneficial for the intestinal microbiota, while spirulina provides proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Check that your dog tolerates dairy well: if they are lactose intolerant, replace it with plain coconut yogurt. For a longer-lasting snack, freeze the mat for 15-20 minutes before serving. You can enhance it with a teaspoon of cooked pumpkin or some blueberries. Serve 1-2 times a week.

Storage

In the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
