Homemade Turkey and Turmeric Dog Treats

Crunchy turkey and turmeric biscuits for dogs: just two ingredients, plenty of protein, and natural anti-inflammatory properties. Ready in under an hour.

Time ~50 min
Portions 30

These crunchy turkey and turmeric snacks are a simple idea to pamper your dog with a healthy treat. Ground turkey is a lean source of high-quality protein, while turmeric provides natural anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial for joint support. Just two ingredients and a baking tray are all you need to achieve a crunchy and tasty result.

Ingredients

  • 454 g of ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder (about 5 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey and turmeric, mixing well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a sheet of parchment paper, forming an even rectangle.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes, turning the sheet halfway through cooking to dry both sides.
  5. Allow to cool completely, then break into small pieces and use as a reward.

Notes

Turmeric in small amounts is considered safe for dogs and can support joint health. Serve these snacks in moderation; a few pieces a day are sufficient for most dogs. Ground chicken can be substituted for turkey while keeping the same quantities.

Storage

In an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
