A simple and nutritious baked meal, ideal for those who are new to homemade dog cooking. Lean turkey, carrots, cauliflower, and kale cook together with very little water and are enriched with a mix of nutrients to create a complete meal. A perfect recipe to prepare in advance for multiple days.

Ingredients

  • 454 g of ground turkey
  • 75 g of chopped carrots
  • 25 g of chopped cauliflower
  • 25 g of chopped kale
  • 60 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons and 1/4 of essential nutrient mix for dogs (18 g)
  • 3 g of ground flaxseed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Transfer the turkey, carrots, cauliflower, kale, and water to an oven-safe pot.
  3. Cook for 20 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and mix in the nutrient mix and ground flaxseed.
  5. Allow to cool before serving or dividing into portions.

Notes

Formulated for the maintenance of adult dogs. Yield: 600 g, 764 total calories (about 200 calories per cup). The vegetables can be replaced with other dog-safe options such as green beans or spinach. Weigh the ingredients for greater nutritional accuracy.

Storage

In the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
