Soft Meal for Puppy with Chicken, Rice, and Egg

A very soft and protein-rich meal, formulated for puppies from 2 to 12 months. Chicken, well-cooked rice, and egg to support growth.

Time ~35 min
Portions 4

The soft puppy food with chicken, rice, and egg is designed to meet the high needs of growing dogs. The texture is intentionally very tender to facilitate chewing and digestion, and the rice is cooked longer than usual to make it creamy.

Ingredients

  • 180 g of skinless chicken breast
  • 100 g of short-grain white rice
  • 1 medium egg
  • 100 g of carrots
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of extra virgin olive oil
  • 500 ml of water

Procedure

  1. Cook the rice in 500 ml of water for about 18-20 minutes, so that it absorbs all the liquid and becomes very soft, almost creamy.
  2. Boil the chicken breast in unsalted water for 12 minutes, then shred it finely with a fork.
  3. In a small pot, hard boil the egg for 9 minutes, then cool it, peel it, and chop it finely.
  4. Peel and grate the carrots on a fine grater, or steam them and mash them.
  5. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, add the EVO oil, and mix thoroughly.
  6. Serve at room temperature, never hot, in small portions.

Notes

Puppies require a higher protein intake than adults, along with a good profile of essential amino acids for growth. The whole egg provides protein of very high biological value. Portions should be calculated based on the target weight as an adult and specific needs, ideally in consultation with the veterinarian. Distribute the ration into 3-4 meals a day until 6 months of age.

Storage

In the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Freeze in small portions for a maximum of 1 month.
