Time ~40 min
Portions 20

When temperatures drop and autumn air arrives, these no-bake balls are the perfect snack to prepare with your dog. Just a few ingredients like pumpkin, natural peanut butter, oats, and seeds are needed to make soft and fragrant bites, ideal for keeping in the fridge all week long.

Ingredients

  • 120 g of oat flour (1 cup)
  • 120 g of unsweetened pumpkin puree (half a cup)
  • 120 g of natural peanut butter (half a cup, no sugar or salt)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds (20 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds (15 g)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine oat flour, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, honey, chia seeds, and ground flaxseeds.
  2. Mix with a spatula until you obtain a compact dough.
  3. Form small balls with your hands, adjusting their size according to your dog's size.
  4. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let firm up in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve to your dog as a treat or occasional snack.

Notes

Always check that the peanut butter does not contain xylitol. For a peanut-free version, substitute with natural almond butter. The pumpkin puree should be plain, not pie filling (free of sugars or spices). Serve 1-2 balls per day based on size.

Storage

In an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or in the freezer for longer storage.
