Lick Mat with Eggs, Vegetables, and Kefir for Dogs

Lick mat for dogs with hard-boiled eggs, carrot, red bell pepper, and kefir. Easy recipe to prepare in 5 minutes, perfect for your dog's relaxation.

Time ~5 min
Portions 1

Are you looking for a tasty activity that will keep your dog entertained while they relax? This lick mat with hard-boiled eggs, fresh vegetables, and kefir is the ideal solution: in just 5 minutes, you have a snack rich in protein, vitamins, and probiotics for their gut health. It only takes a few ingredients and a textured surface.

Ingredients

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 finely chopped carrot
  • half a diced red bell pepper
  • 60 ml of unsweetened natural kefir

Procedure

  1. Boil the eggs until hard, then peel them and let them cool.
  2. Finely chop the eggs, carrot, and red bell pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the chopped ingredients with the kefir, stirring until you achieve a creamy mixture.
  4. Spread evenly on the lick mat, filling in the grooves well, then serve to your dog.

Notes

Lick mats slow down mealtime, help reduce anxiety, and provide mental stimulation. You can replace kefir with unsweetened natural yogurt. For a more lasting snack, freeze the lick mat for about an hour before offering it: perfect for hot days.

Storage

Best consumed immediately. Leftover portions can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, or frozen on the mat for up to 1 month.
