Ice Cubes with Blueberries, Cucumber, and Mint for Dogs

Refreshing ice cubes for dogs with blueberries, cucumber, and mint. They hydrate on hot days, are light and refreshing, aid digestion, and freshen breath.

Time ~5 min
Portions 6

Three ingredients, a blender, and a bit of freezer: here’s a clever way to enrich your dog’s water bowl on hot days. Blueberries provide antioxidants and vitamins, cucumber hydrates due to its high water content, while mint aids digestion and refreshes breath. One cube a day, and summer will taste sweeter.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 120 ml of fresh mint leaves
  • 240 ml of blueberries
  • 240 ml of water

Instructions

  1. Pour cucumber, mint, and blueberries into the blender with the water and blend until smooth. If you like, add a handful of parsley or other dog-safe herbs.
  2. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays (paw-shaped ones are very cute).
  3. Place in the freezer for about 3 hours.
  4. Add a cube to your dog's water bowl or serve as a popsicle.

Notes

For a slushy variant, blend the cubes with a bit of water or coconut water and serve immediately.

Storage

They can be stored in the freezer for up to 90 days.
