For the hottest days, a colorful and fun recipe: ice cubes made with dog-safe fruits and vegetables. Each color represents a different nutrient: blueberries support the immune system, strawberries support defenses, citrus provides vitamin C, and cucumber hydrates. A fresh idea to add to your dog's water bowl.

Ingredients

  • 80 ml of blueberries
  • 80 ml of raspberries
  • 80 ml of strawberries
  • 80 ml of orange (pulp, without peel and seeds)
  • 80 ml of cucumber
  • 120 ml of water for each fruit

Procedure

  1. Blend each fruit separately with its portion of water until you obtain a homogeneous liquid.
  2. Pour each liquid into ice cube molds (for example, heart-shaped ones).
  3. Put in the freezer for about 3 hours.
  4. Serve the cubes as popsicles or add them to your dog's water bowl.

Notes

Use only the pulp of the orange and in moderation, as it is acidic; always remove the seeds and the peel.

Storage

They can be stored in the freezer for up to 90 days.
