This homemade version combines lean beef, red beans, red bell peppers, and pumpkin, creating a colorful meal rich in protein and packed with a mix of vitamins. It is easy to make in just a few steps and is great for meal prep.
Ingredients
- 454 g of lean ground beef
- 124 g of cooked red kidney beans
- 41 g of chopped red bell pepper
- 40 g of diced pumpkin (can also be frozen)
- 240 ml of water
- 148 g of dried vegetable mix for dogs (or cooked mixed vegetables)
- 10 g of sunflower oil
Instructions
- In a pot, combine the beef, bell pepper, and beans with the water.
- Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked.
- Add the vegetable mix and sunflower oil, stirring to combine well.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- If desired, garnish with a tablespoon of plain yogurt and some grated cheese.
Notes
To achieve the correct proportions, use a scale. The recipe is suitable for adult dogs in maintenance.
Storage
In the refrigerator for up to 3 days, in the freezer for up to 90 days.
