These crunchy dog biscuits are made with natural and safe ingredients. The combination of whole grain flours and peanut butter creates a nutritious and delicious snack that dogs love.
Ingredients
- 240 g of whole grain flour
- 60 g of oat flour (blended flakes)
- 1 egg
- 60 ml of water
- 15 ml of pure maple syrup
- 120 g of natural peanut butter (without xylitol or salt)
Procedure
- Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the whole grain flour and oat flour.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg with water and maple syrup, then add the peanut butter.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until a slightly dry dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 6 mm thick.
- Cut out the biscuits with a cutter (bone-shaped, if you have one).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Choose a peanut butter made only from peanuts, without added sugars or xylitol (toxic to dogs). The biscuits are perfect as an occasional treat: 1-2 per day depending on size. Snacks should not exceed 10% of the daily caloric intake.
Storage
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 1 month. Make sure the biscuits are completely cooled before storing them.
