Natural treats for your dog with itching and seasonal allergies. Apple, blueberries, strawberries, and chia seeds provide antioxidants and omega to soothe the skin.

Time ~135 min

When spring arrives, many dogs suffer from itching and skin discomfort. These berry snacks provide natural relief thanks to the quercetin found in apples, blueberries, and strawberries, which acts as a gentle antihistamine. Chia seeds, rich in omega-3, help to reduce inflammation.

Ingredients

  • 1 grated apple, without seeds
  • 200 g of blueberries
  • 4 large strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds (1 tablespoon for every 4.5 kg of the dog's weight)
  • 1 teaspoon of natural peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the fruit into small pieces and place them in a non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until the fruit becomes soft.
  3. Mash with a fork and stir in the chia seeds and peanut butter.
  4. Allow to cool and pour the mixture into snack molds.
  5. Store in the freezer for 2-4 hours.

Notes

Recommended serving: 1 tablespoon per day for every 4.5 kg of the dog's weight. You can also use the mixture as a topper for meals.

Storage

In the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
