For the hottest days, a colorful and fun recipe: ice cubes made with dog-safe fruits and vegetables. Each color represents a different nutrient: blueberries support the immune system, strawberries support defenses, citrus provides vitamin C, and cucumber hydrates. A fresh idea to add to your dog's water bowl.
Ingredients
- 80 ml of blueberries
- 80 ml of raspberries
- 80 ml of strawberries
- 80 ml of orange (pulp, without peel and seeds)
- 80 ml of cucumber
- 120 ml of water for each fruit
Procedure
- Blend each fruit separately with its portion of water until you obtain a homogeneous liquid.
- Pour each liquid into ice cube molds (for example, heart-shaped ones).
- Put in the freezer for about 3 hours.
- Serve the cubes as popsicles or add them to your dog's water bowl.
Notes
Use only the pulp of the orange and in moderation, as it is acidic; always remove the seeds and the peel.
Storage
They can be stored in the freezer for up to 90 days.
