When preparing an autumn chili in the kitchen, why not share the spirit with your dog as well? This homemade version combines lean beef, red beans, red bell peppers, and pumpkin, creating a colorful meal rich in protein and packed with a mix of vitamins. It is easy to make in just a few steps and is great for meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 454 g of lean ground beef
  • 124 g of cooked red kidney beans
  • 41 g of chopped red bell pepper
  • 40 g of diced pumpkin (can also be frozen)
  • 240 ml of water
  • 148 g of dried vegetable mix for dogs (or cooked mixed vegetables)
  • 10 g of sunflower oil

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine the beef, bell pepper, and beans with the water.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked.
  3. Add the vegetable mix and sunflower oil, stirring to combine well.
  4. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  5. If desired, garnish with a tablespoon of plain yogurt and some grated cheese.

Notes

To achieve the correct proportions, use a scale. The recipe is suitable for adult dogs in maintenance.

Storage

In the refrigerator for up to 3 days, in the freezer for up to 90 days.
