With just two ingredients and a few minutes, you can prepare a snack that cats love. Salmon provides proteins and omega-3 fatty acids that are beneficial for coat and skin, while the egg binds the mixture and adds nutrients. Baked in the oven, they turn into crispy, fragrant biscuits, perfect to use as treats in small amounts.
Ingredients
- 100 g of cooked salmon (steamed or boiled), skinless and boneless
- 1 whole egg
Procedure
- Check the cooked salmon and carefully remove any bones.
- Blend the salmon and egg until you achieve a thick and homogeneous paste.
- Form small mounds on a baking tray lined with baking paper, well-spaced apart.
- Bake in the oven at 180 °C for 12-15 minutes, until golden and dry.
- Allow to cool completely: they will become crunchier.
Notes
The salmon should always be cooked, never raw. No salt or seasonings. Like all fish snacks, offer them in moderation and alternate with other treats to avoid exceeding fish in the diet. Snack rule: no more than 10% of daily calories.
Storage
In a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months. If they soften, reheat them in the oven for a few minutes.
