Time ~40 min
Portions 24

These crunchy dog biscuits are made with natural and safe ingredients. The combination of whole grain flours and peanut butter creates a nutritious and delicious snack that dogs love.

Ingredients

  • 240 g of whole grain flour
  • 60 g of oat flour (blended flakes)
  • 1 egg
  • 60 ml of water
  • 15 ml of pure maple syrup
  • 120 g of natural peanut butter (without xylitol or salt)

Procedure

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the whole grain flour and oat flour.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg with water and maple syrup, then add the peanut butter.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until a slightly dry dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 6 mm thick.
  6. Cut out the biscuits with a cutter (bone-shaped, if you have one).
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Choose a peanut butter made only from peanuts, without added sugars or xylitol (toxic to dogs). The biscuits are perfect as an occasional treat: 1-2 per day depending on size. Snacks should not exceed 10% of the daily caloric intake.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 1 month. Make sure the biscuits are completely cooled before storing them.
