2-Ingredient Chicken & Egg Dog Treats

Hundreds of homemade treats in just 15 minutes with only two ingredients: ground chicken and eggs. Packed with protein, perfect as training rewards, and great for freezing.

Time ~20 min
Portions 50

When you need lots of small treats for training, this is one of the quickest and cleverest recipes around. You only need two ingredients — ground chicken and eggs — plus a silicone snack mould: by using a mould with very small cavities, you can get up to a thousand micro-bites in a single bake. They are packed with protein, free from unnecessary additives, and keep beautifully in the freezer.

Ingredients

  • 454 g ground chicken
  • 3 eggs (approximately 150 g)
  • 1 silicone snack mould

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Place the ground chicken and eggs in a bowl.
  3. Blend with an immersion blender until you have a smooth, uniform mixture.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the silicone mould. Bake for 15 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
  5. Allow to cool completely before turning out and serving.

Notes

These are high-protein treats, ideal for training sessions thanks to their tiny size. Prepare the mixture without any salt or seasonings. Make sure each treat is cooked all the way through and fully cooled before giving it to your dog. As these are treats, they should be counted as part of the daily food allowance and must not replace a complete meal.

Storage

Store the treats in a jar in the freezer to keep them fresh: they thaw in just a few minutes, and you can take out only as many as you need at a time.
