Green Smoothie for Dog Immunity with Spirulina

Green smoothie for dogs with spinach, banana, kefir, and spirulina. Rich in omega 3 and superfoods, it supports your friend's coat, skin, and immune defenses.

Time ~10 min
Portions 8

A small concentrate of superfood designed to support your dog's coat, skin, and immune defenses. Spinach, banana, kefir, and spirulina blend together with a cube of liver for a bright green result, fragrant and full of nutrients. It’s beautiful to serve in a decorated bowl or frozen in cubes to enhance meals.

Ingredients

  • 15 g of fresh spinach (half a cup)
  • half a ripe banana
  • 1 cube of liver (10 g) or 3 small freeze-dried liver snacks (3 g)
  • 1 serving of vegetable omega oil (about 5 ml)
  • 120 ml of unsweetened, unflavored coconut water
  • a pinch (about 1 g) of spirulina powder
  • 60 ml of unsweetened natural kefir

Procedure

  1. Place the spinach, banana, liver cube (or freeze-dried snack), omega oil, and coconut water into the blender. Blend until you achieve a smooth cream. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add a few ice cubes.
  2. Prepare the serving bowl: brush the inner walls with kefir and sprinkle a pinch of spirulina along the edges for a shaded effect.
  3. Pour the smoothie into the bowl or on the mat for a snack enrichment.

Notes

The vegetable omega oil provides omega 3, 6, and 9, which are beneficial for the coat and joints. Spirulina is a blue-green algae rich in nutrients, safe for dogs in small amounts. Serve this smoothie as a special snack 2-3 times a week. Suggested portions range from 2-4 tablespoons for dogs under 4.5 kg to 1 cup for dogs over 35 kg.

Storage

In the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or frozen in molds for quick topping.
