Ingredients
- 454 g of lean ground chicken
- 240 ml of water
- 180 g of diced apple (about 3/4 cup)
- 50 g of chopped cabbage (half a cup)
- 1 can of sardines in water, unsalted (about 120 g)
- about 200 g of dried vegetable mix for dogs (1 cup and 3/4)
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the ground chicken, water, apple, and cabbage.
- Cook over medium heat with a lid on, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- Drain the sardines, add them to the pot along with the dried vegetable mix, and mix well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture.
- Allow to cool completely before serving or dividing into portions.
Notes
Formulated for adult dog maintenance. Yield: about 1153 g, 1153 calories. You can substitute chicken with turkey or lean beef. Sardines provide omega 3 beneficial for skin, coat, and joints.
Storage
In the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
