Fish Porridge with Tuna, Sardines, and Eggs for Dogs

A fresh and nutritious fish porridge for dogs, rich in protein and omega 3. Tuna, sardines, eggs, and vegetables come together in minutes for a healthy meal.

Time ~10 min
Portions 6

This homemade fish meal is a quick and nutrient-rich solution for your dog. Tuna and sardines provide lean protein and valuable omega-3 fatty acids, eggs ensure essential amino acids, and fresh vegetables add fiber and hydration. It’s a perfect recipe to serve as a meal or spread on a lick mat, keeping in mind that fish should make up no more than 15 percent of your dog's weekly meals.

Ingredients

  • 500 g of natural tuna, no salt added
  • 2 large cooked eggs (about 120 g)
  • 170 g of natural sardines, no salt added
  • 75 g of cucumber
  • 56 g of celery
  • 50 g of plain natural yogurt
  • 10 g of essential nutrient mix for dogs (vitamin-mineral supplement)
  • 12 g (about 2 teaspoons) of flaxseed oil

Procedure

  1. Cook the eggs hard, then peel and finely chop them.
  2. Wash and cut the cucumber and celery into small cubes.
  3. Drain and rinse the tuna and sardines well to reduce excess liquids.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, tuna, sardines, cucumber, celery, and yogurt.
  5. Add the nutrient mix and flaxseed oil, mixing until you achieve a homogeneous mixture.
  6. Distribute into bowls or spread it on a lick mat and serve to your dog.

Notes

Formulated for maintaining the adult dog, it provides about 1121 total calories. Fish should not be served daily: alternate with other protein sources.
