The puppy food with beef, potatoes, and spinach is formulated to support the rapid growth of young dogs. Beef provides easily absorbable heme iron, which is essential for the formation of red blood cells, and spinach adds a small amount of plant-based iron and folates.
Ingredients
- 200 g of lean ground beef
- 200 g of potatoes
- 120 g of fresh spinach
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of extra virgin olive oil
- 300 ml of water
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into very small cubes.
- Cook them in 300 ml of water for 15 minutes, until they can be easily mashed with a fork.
- Wash the spinach well, blanch them for 3 minutes, drain, squeeze, and chop finely.
- In a non-stick pan, cook the ground beef over low heat for 6-7 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
- Add the chopped spinach and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
- Drain and mash the potatoes, combine the meat with the spinach and the EVO oil.
- Stir until you achieve a soft and homogeneous consistency, then let it cool before serving.
Notes
Puppies need more frequent meals compared to adults: 3-4 times a day until 6 months, then 2 times a day. Portions depend on the breed and target adult weight. Spinach should be offered in moderate quantities (maximum 1-2 times a week) to avoid excess oxalates. Always serve the food warm, never hot.
Storage
In the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days. It can be frozen in small portions for up to 1 month.
