Fresh, ripe peaches of the season provide sweetness and plenty of vitamins, while coconut milk adds creaminess without lactose. Together with almond butter, which has an irresistible flavor for dogs, they create a perfect homemade ice cream for warmer days.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, pitted
- 240 ml of additive-free coconut milk
- 30 ml of natural almond butter
Instructions
- Wash the peaches, remove the pit, and chop the flesh, leaving the skin on.
- Combine peaches, coconut milk, and almond butter in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture into molds or containers and place in the freezer for 4-6 hours.
- Serve a small scoop to your dog as an occasional treat.
Notes
Always remove the peach pit, which can be toxic. Coconut milk and almond butter are high in fats: serve the ice cream in moderation, especially if your dog tends to gain weight. You can substitute peaches with apples, blueberries, or bananas.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2-3 months.
