Peanut Butter and Coconut Ice Cream for Dogs

Creamy ice cream for dogs made with coconut milk, peanut butter, oats, and strawberry sprinkles. A waste-free recipe that makes use of the green leaves of strawberries, fresh and delicious.

A creamy and waste-free ice cream for your dog. Yes, the green tops of strawberries are completely safe: instead of throwing them away, blend them with coconut milk, peanut butter, and oats to create a rich base full of antioxidants that strengthens the immune system. Enjoy it with some frozen red fruit on top.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of full-fat coconut milk
  • 60 ml of natural peanut butter (without xylitol)
  • 60 ml of rolled oats
  • 120 ml of green strawberry tops
  • Frozen red fruit for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour the coconut milk, peanut butter, oats, and strawberry tops into the blender. Make sure the peanut butter does not contain xylitol.
  2. Blend until you obtain a perfectly smooth mixture.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream mold and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
  4. When it's time to serve, let it soften for a few minutes at room temperature.
  5. Form balls using an ice cream scoop and garnish with the frozen red fruit.

Notes

This remains a special snack: it does not replace a meal nor should it be offered every day.

Storage

It can be stored in the freezer for up to 90 days.
