When you want something healthy and truly simple, apple chips are the answer. One apple, a few thin cuts, and a slow drying in the oven: the result is a crunchy snack, naturally sweet and rich in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Perfect as a treat or crumbled over your dog's meal.
Ingredients
- 1 apple
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 95 degrees.
- Wash the apple and remove the core and seeds.
- Slice the apple very thinly and arrange the slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 120 minutes, until the slices are golden and crunchy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
Notes
Always remove the seeds and core, as they contain traces of cyanide unsuitable for dogs.
Storage
Store the chips in an airtight container, in a cool and dry place, away from direct light. They last for about a week; if they lose their crispness, just pop them back in the oven for a few minutes.
