When your dog needs a little help to relax, these homemade biscuits can make a difference. Chamomile and sweet potato come together in a gentle recipe designed to accompany stressful moments like thunderstorms, car rides, or busy days. A natural and tasty treat.
Ingredients
- 1 medium sweet potato
- 2 chamomile tea bags
- 200 g of oat flour
- 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil (about 30 ml)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Peel the sweet potato and cut it into cubes. In a saucepan, bring water to a gentle boil, immerse the tea bags along with the sweet potato, and cook over medium heat until the potato is very soft. Drain.
- Mash or blend the cooked sweet potato until you achieve a smooth puree, removing any lumps.
- In a bowl, combine the oat flour, sweet potato puree, and melted coconut oil. Work the mixture until it forms a uniform dough. If necessary, add a little flour or a little oil.
- Roll out the dough on parchment paper to a thickness of about 6 mm and cut the biscuits into the desired shape, for example small rectangles with a pizza wheel.
- Bake in the oven for 40-55 minutes, until the biscuits are firm and slightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely before serving to your dog.
