## Cause 1: Food temperature

**The most underrated.**

The cat is programmed to hunt warm **live** prey (37-38°C). Food straight from the fridge is "dead food" to its instincts.

### Solution

Warm the food:
- Microwave for 15-20 seconds (test temperature)
- Water bath
- Warm water on top

It works in 80% of cases of refusal.

## Cause 2: "Old" food

### Open canned food

Even if stored in the fridge:
- Loses flavor after 24-48 hours
- Oxidizes on the surface
- Becomes less appealing

### Open dry food

In an opened bag for weeks:
- Oils go rancid

## Cause 7: Stress or changes

The cat is sensitive to:

## Appetite stimulant medications
